ive never been able to decide--- is it merely pretentious- or is it art?- is it good music or merely good musicianship?-- - i can listen to it and appreciate it- but never for very long.- guess im more of the dave edmunds school of rock and roll- 3 minutes- great tune - memorable melody- and great playing-- and a memorable hook- and you can sing to it!

It is an interesting concept but just not my cup of tea. Kind of reminds me of a music trip down mushroom lane. It's too confusing for my ear and makes me feel nervous.

they lasted in various forms for a long time- some went on to form emerson lake and palmer-- and did "lucky man"-- but about this time there were all of these "heavy bands"- i dont know where it really came from- the nice or the move or even the moody blues -- alot of this music i think was pretentiuos- the band "yes" comes immediately to mind
i believe that this bands only semi hit was "in the court of the crimson king"- which i do like-- but cant listen to the rest of the album
